What Does Jesus Want From Me? He is, “The Living One”
Jesus is the source of all life.

What Does Jesus Want From Me?
He is, “The Living One”
Revelation 1:17
“Do not be afraid, “I Am The First And The Last, the Living One”.
Jesus is alive! That is the truth that we proclaim as Christians. But, He is not just alive; He is Life. The Living One is the One who brings life.
Jesus is the source of all life. In the Gospel of John, Jesus affirmed that twice. When Lazarus died, Jesus showed His power over life and death and He told Martha, the sister of Lazarus:
John 11:25
“I am The Resurrection and The Life; he who believes in Me will live even if he dies.”
Within minutes, Jesus would stand at the entrance of the tomb and call out, “Lazarus, come forth.” Lazarus walked out of the tomb under his own power and came back to life!
A few chapters later, Jesus sat at a table with His disciples sharing with them the Last Supper. He talked to them about love, commitment, loyalty and life. Knowing that He was hours away from the cross, He said:
John 14:6
“I am The Way, and The Truth, and The Life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.”
He would be dead within 24 hours but The Living One would soon conquer death and make eternal life available for every single man, woman or child who believes!
Colossians 3:3-4
“For you have died and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ, who is our life, is revealed, then you also will be revealed with Him in glory.”
That kind of news should make you literally shout for joy and kneel before Him in prayer and thanksgiving! It’s just exactly like Luke asked in his Gospel:
Luke 24:5
“The women were terrified and bowed their faces to the ground, the men said to them, “Why do you seek The Living One among the dead?
Why, indeed? He is our Life. He is not here but He has risen and has taken His place next to the Father to intercede on behalf of those who seek life. You can’t live without the Source Of All Life.
