Mike’s Story - Part 4 of 4
You don’t have to create a new world. He wants us to occupy ourselves with doing something measurable to contribute to this world in some way. When we do that, our life view begins to change but, more than that, God comes alongside of us and walks with us and begins to bless what we do instead of opposing us.

Mikes’ Story - Part 4 of 4
Read Genesis 1-2. What is the first recorded thing that we see God doing? He worked. God created everything that exists but more than that, He drew satisfaction from it. Read it. At the end of each day, God looked back on what He had done and this happened:
Genesis 1:31
“God saw all that He had made, and behold, it was very good.“
Every man, woman and child has been created in the image of God. It is written into our DNA to work and produce. God designed us to work and then step back and see what we have done at the end of the day and see the good in that.
You don’t have to create a new world. He wants us to occupy ourselves with doing something measurable to contribute to this world in some way. When we do that, our life view begins to change but, more than that, God comes alongside of us and walks with us and begins to bless what we do instead of opposing us.
That was the difference maker for Mike. He discovered how God works and realized that He was designed to be like Him. A job, for a guy like Mike, wasn’t about making a few dollars. It was about getting back in step with God. God can knock down walls and rebuild lives for someone like that. I have seen it. Mike is one of those guys.
So, how do you give life back to a dead man? You can’t. But Jesus can. He did that for Mike.
Mike ran into that speaker a couple of years later and his face beamed. “You’re that guy!” He said. “You’re the zombie guy! I have told so many guys what you said and it really worked. God gave me my life back. Thank you!”
If you have a changed heart and you walk with God no mountain will be too high.
2 Corinthians 9:10
“Now He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed for sowing and increase the harvest of your righteousness.”
