Faith’s Hall Of Fame: Moses Returns To Egypt

Hebrews 11:27

“…not fearing the wrath of the king; for he endured, as seeing Him who is unseen.”

The treasures of Egypt were vast and varied but Moses was sent to make an announcement to the pharaoh. “Let my people go”.

Consider for a moment the enormous courage Moses possessed. Once a fugitive afraid to speak (Exodus 4:10), he marched into Pharaoh’s court—the most powerful man on earth—and demanded the release of the Hebrews, knowing full well it could cost him his own life.

Moses knew the palace was guarded. He knew the power of whom he was opposing. He knew that the military of pharaoh had destroyed kingdoms and empires. Now, he was walking into the pharaoh’s home turf and making demands with nothing but and a stick and his brother as a spokesman.

But he had more than that, didn’t he? He had faith. Faith that overcame any fear that might have present. He had stood in the presence of God, knelt before Him and heard His voice. The command was clear and the directions were all laid out. And Moses went in faith, knowing that God was with him.

Is there anything more powerful than knowing that God is with you? I think not. So, before we go on, read these promises from the Bible and know that God is with you, too.

Hebrews 13:5

“… He Himself has said, “I will never leave you, nor will I ever forsake you.”

Psalms 94:14

“For the Lord will not abandon His people, nor will He forsake His inheritance.”

Psalms 55:22

“Cast your burden upon the LORD and He will sustain you; He will never allow the righteous to be shaken.”

Matthew 28:20

“… and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”

Enough said?
