The Wise Word - Leading Us

Psalms 19:7

The testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple.

Scripture is Wisdom, because it comes from God who is all-wise. Every command, every promise, every story is woven with His Wisdom. God’s Word teaches us how life truly works under God’s rule.

Human wisdom rises and falls with trends and whims. What one age calls wise another discards, but God’s Word is steady and pure. It cuts through our illusions — the shortcuts that lead to regret, the desires that promise joy but deliver bondage, the pride that blinds us. God’s Word exposes these traps because His Wisdom is not about being clever; it’s about walking rightly with God.

His Wisdom doesn’t shout for attention or dress itself up. Many of Scripture’s wisest words are quiet, simple truths that sit down beside us and speak plainly: forgive, trust, wait, flee sin, love your neighbor, guard your heart, remember God, pursue righteousness. These seem small, yet they are the giant building blocks of a true faith that guides ordinary lives in ordinary moments.

Jesus often spoke in ways that bewildered the world: the weak are strong, the last are first, the humble are exalted, the servant is greatest. That seems like foolishness to the world because it denies pride and self-reliance. Even the cross — the ultimate display of divine Wisdom — looks unreasonable to natural minds. But to those who are being saved, it is the Power and Wisdom of God. That’s because it teaches us to see what only spiritual eyes can see.

When you read the Word, you are sitting with Wisdom that predates creation and will outlast the world. No situation you face is beyond that reach. Confusion, fear, stress, worry, temptation, fatigue, decision-making — all of these find clarity under the lamp of God’s Word.

He knows what is hidden. He understands what overwhelms you. So ask God to make you teachable. Let His Wisdom replace your assumptions, calm your fears and guide your choices. It’s not a reference book. It’s the voice of the Only Wise God speaking into your life.

Wise Words lead you into the life you were made for — clear, grounded, and shaped by the mind of God Himself.
