The Prince Of Peace - Part 4

The result? Look at this verse from Romans:

Romans 5:1

Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.

And Paul goes on to say:

Romans 5:9-10

“… having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from the wrath of God through Him. For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life.”

Ultimately, what that is saying is that God wants you to stop the war against Him. He offers you a hope you never had, a peace you never knew, a joy you never felt and love that never ends.

That, my friends, is Christmas in a nutshell. It’s worth remembering this holiday season. Take in the songs, the traditions, the trees, presents, food and even the shopping. But don’t forget why we do this: God put an end to the war against Him in your heart. He endured the pain so that you can live again.

Romans 15:5-6, 13

“Now may the God who gives perseverance and encouragement grant you to be of the same mind with one another according to Christ Jesus, so that with one accord you may with one voice glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ … Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you will abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”
