Stir Up One Another
Are you not going to a church regularly? You are missing out on part of the promise that Jesus has for you. He created the church with you in mind. You are a part of it. If you are not there you are not getting everything that God has for you. This is why, when people come to me and ask me why their life is a mess and things aren’t working out for them, the first thing I ask them is, “Are you going to a church every week?”

Stir Up One Another
"And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works". (Hebrews 10:24)
One of the greatest things that the church does is the fellowship that we have with each other. Fellowship is usually described as just getting together or gathering with other believers, but I believe that it goes deeper than that. Fellowship is different than socializing. It has a spiritual component to it.
Anyone can get together with other people but Jesus says that when believers gather together "in His name,” something special happens.
"For where two or three are gathered in My name, there am I among them.” (Matthew 18:20)
Fellowship happens when He is there, in the midst of His church. He is there connecting us to each other so that we can encourage and stimulate one another. This is how fellowship differs from just socializing.
It’s no accident that when the writer of Hebrews tells us to stir up one another, the very next verse tells us not to neglect gathering together. He’s talking about going to church. He is telling us why church is so important and why we need it to be a regular part of our lives.

1 Peter 4:8
“Above all, keep fervent in your love for one another”.
