How To Become Wise
Proverbs 4:7
“The beginning of wisdom is: Acquire wisdom …”
The Book of Proverbs is known as the Book of Wisdom. It is 31 chapters of the wisest sayings of the wisest man who ever lived. That would be King Solomon.
When Solomon became the King of God’s people, God granted him extraordinary wisdom with which to rule. Over the years, he amassed an incredible storehouse of knowledge and an enormous collection of wise sayings.
Wisdom is something that God values quite highly. He tells us to pursue at all costs. We should prize wisdom and embrace it, search for it, incline our hearts to it, attend to it, acquire it, find it and love it.
Wisdom is more valuable than gold or silver, according to Solomon, and it was through Wisdom that God created all things.
There is a problem, however. It turns out that there are two kinds of wisdom. There is a wisdom of the world and a Wisdom of God and they are diametrically opposed to each other.
