Finding God
God is just but He excels in mercy. He is kind yet He is Truth. He is the Ancient Of Days while He is new every morning. He lifts up and encourages but He also chastises and rebukes.

Finding God
Psalms 9:10
“And those who know Your name will put their trust in You.”
There are those out there who have come to know God. They have spent lifetimes reading His Word, praying deep prayers, seeking out His will, learning about Him, struggling to understand Him, growing in their faith and drawing near to Him. They have invested in themselves in developing a close, personal relationship with God.
Those people have learned that there is more to God than what we feel about Him and what we want Him to be like. God is incredibly complex and can’t be reduced to a few simple thoughts or ideas.
God loves and cares but He also sits on a throne and that means certain things. It means that everything exists for Him and that He is the center and His will must come before our desires. He judges in anger and wrath as surely as He saves with grace and mercy. He loves with a depth that you and I can never fathom yet He hates sin with a passion that should frighten every one of us.
God is just but He excels in mercy. He is kind yet He is Truth. He is the Ancient Of Days while He is new every morning. He lifts up and encourages but He also chastises and rebukes.
You see, when we go around creating our own version of God, it distorts the truth about Him and we end up believing in a version of God that isn’t real. Our goal is not to imagine what God is and prop up that image. God is not what we believe, He is what He has said. Our purpose and meaning in life come from finding that version of God. The True and Faithful One who has revealed Himself and never changes.
“To fall in love with God is the greatest romance; to seek him the greatest adventure; to find him, the greatest human achievement.” —Saint Augustine
