And He Loves You, Too!

Yesterday, I wrote about the incredible feeling of knowing that God loves me. It’s only right that I follow that up today by saying that He loves you, too.

Now, I think we all know that this is true. That was made clear in yesterday’s message. But here’s the point I’m trying to make: isn’t it nice to hear that God loves you?

People like hearing that. Being loved is wonderful. Who doesn’t want to be loved?

So if we are so comforted by God’s love for us—and we know that He loves others, too—why aren’t we telling people about this love?

Take a minute and think about this: when was the last time you shared this incredible news with someone? If you are like the average Christian, chances are you have never shared this amazing truth with anyone.

Take a look at the book of Romans. In chapter 8, Paul asks the question, “Who will separate us from the love of Christ?” Two chapters later, he writes:

Romans 10:14

“How then will they call on Him in whom they have not believed? How will they believe in Him whom they have not heard? And how will they hear without a preacher?”

You see, the Christian faith is built on this reality: what we have received, we are meant to share. This is how the church works.

It’s hard to understand why we wouldn’t want to share such good news. There are people all around us who are just waiting to hear that God loves them. All they need is someone to tell them.

That someone is you. You are the “preacher” Paul is talking about.

So take some time this morning and ask God a simple question: “Who needs to hear about Your love today?”

And when that name comes to mind … don’t overthink it. Don’t wait for the perfect moment. Just tell them: “God loves you.”
