There are nearly 900 names of God in the Bible. Although some of those names may seem less important than others, every one of them is vital to the picture of who God is.
The Bible is a literary masterpiece that was carefully pieced together over the course of about 1500 years. All of it was done under the guidance of the Holy Spirit who wove an incredibly complex portrait of a God who judges sin and yet died in the place of the sinner; who loves with passion and chastises with anger; who lifts up the helpless and yet humbles kings; who opens His heart to the oppressed and yet closes His ears to the cries of the wicked.
He is a Shield to those who take refuge in Him and a Flaming Sword to those who oppose Him. He is the Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince Of Peace.
He’s the Rock of Strength, yet a Gentle Shepherd. Desire of All Nations, yet Despised and Forsaken. Ancient of Days, yet New Every Moment.
He is God of gods, King of kings, Lord of lords and the Beginning and the End. The Redeemer of Israel, a Strong Tower from the Enemy and the Light of the World.
He is all things to all people and He is everything we can behold. He is our God and He is Mighty To Save.

Who is this who comes from Edom, with garments of glowing colors from Bozrah, this One who is majestic in His apparel, marching in the greatness of His strength? “It is I Who speak In Righteousness, Mighty To Save.”
