Love One Another - Part 1
Loving is hard work. But, the people who are the hardest to love are the ones who need it the most. That’s why we do it. To give something to someone who really needs it and to bring the love of God to all of His creation, not just to some.

Love One Another - Part 1
“Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.”
That is the encouragement written by the Apostle John about 2000 years ago. You can read his writings about love in the Bible in the first letter of John (1 John 4:11).
John really emphasized the idea of love. He was the closest thing to a best friend that Jesus had and he learned about love from watching Jesus live it out every day.
Jesus loved the unlovable and He spent a good portion of His time with them. They were the outcasts of their society. They were the lame, the blind, the sinful, the poor and the sick and Jesus never shied away from them.
There are people among us who excel at loving the lowly but for most of us, it’s not an easy thing to do. Loving people is messy and it requires spending time and giving effort without getting anything in return and, often, without seeing any positive results from your work.
Loving is hard work. But, the people who are the hardest to love are the ones who need it the most. That’s why we do it. To give something to someone who really needs it and to bring the love of God to all of His creation, not just to some.
Loving is what life is all about. Tomorrow, we’ll learn the how the church is supposed to love others when they don’t love us. In the words of Jesus:
John 13:34-35
“A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another, even as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”
