Faith’s Hall Of Fame: Sarah
Have you ever struggled to believe in God‘s promise? Sarah teaches us that faith doesn’t always feel strong, but God’s faithfulness is unchanging.

Faith’s Hall Of Fame: Sarah
Hebrews 11:11
“By faith even Sarah herself received ability to conceive, even beyond the proper time of life, since she considered Him faithful who had promised.”
Have you ever struggled with your faith? Of course you have. That’s why it’s important to look at the life of Sarah.
Sarah was 65 years old when we first learned of her journey of faith. She followed her husband to a new land and a new home at an age where many of us are ready to retire and settle into old age. God promised her children and that Promise never seemed to arrive.
Just imagine the pain of Sarah, knowing that God had promised a great nation to her husband, yet she was completely unable to bear him even one child. The book of Romans describes her situation as deadness.
Sarah’s journey would take her places many of us would not endure. Leaving her home at an older age, failing to conceive time after time, watching her husband take another woman who was able to do what she was incapable of and, eventually, laughing out loud at the thought of that promise finally coming to fruition after she had long sin ex passed the age of childbearing.
Sarah endured.
That is the greatest thing that can be said about her. Her faith endured the long wait of an unfulfilled promise. Her greatest fears were realized. Her frustrations got the best of her. She expressed the doubts that she felt inside and yet she hoped for that promise to come true one day.
And it did.
She would miraculously bring a son into the world and her joy would be known to the world by naming him “laughter.” Her sarcasm would be turned to joy!
Sarah’s journey of faith was long and hard but joy came to her. It is worth the wait. She was a better woman in the end, moulded and shaped by the hand of God in her life.
Have you ever struggled to believe in God‘s promise? Sarah teaches us that faith doesn’t always feel strong, but God’s faithfulness is unchanging.
Genesis 21:1
“Then the LORD took note of Sarah as He had said, and the LORD did for Sarah as He had promised.”
